Provisions and Rules

DECORATIONS |
|
The setting of the Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy
creates a beautiful backdrop for events. Decorations should be kept
to a minimum. No nails, tacks or items that could damage the Coffee
Creek Watershed Preserve. Decorations are not permitted on the lighting.

FOOD |
|
Food is not permitted at the Chesterton Amphitheater or the Water
Plaza area. It is allowed in the Pavilion area. |
LIGHTING |
|
No additional electrical lighting is allowed. |
SOUND SYSTEMS |
|
Must be kept to a minimum and requires authorization from Special Event Coordinator.All fees and rules are subject to change without prior notification. |
TENTS AND VEHICLES |
|
Tents and vehicles are prohibited in the Chesterton
amphitheater or along the brick pavers or at the pavilion. |
TRASH REMOVAL |
|
All trash must be placed in appropriate receptacles. Any trash not
placed in appropriate receptacles will be handled by our maintenance
crew and considered excessive maintenance. You will be charged for its
removal. Temporary trash receptacles and garbage bags are provided.
Please place closed trash bags in the Able Disposal tote located near
the electric box. |
INSURANCE |
|
The event must be covered by the renters personal
insurance. The Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy must be listed as
a additional insured for your event. The Certificate of Liability Insurance
must be received by the Special Events Coordinator no less than 30 days prior
to your event. If you have any questions please contact Anton Insurance
in Chesterton at 219-926-8681. The certificate may be faxed to our office
at (219) 395-5333 or mailed to our office address: Coffee Creek Watershed
Conservancy PO Box 802 Chesterton, IN 46304. Event Location is
178 East 1050 North Chesterton, IN 46304. |
DECORATIONS |

or items that could damage the Pavilion are allowed. Decorations are
not permitted on the lighting fixtures. |
MAINTENANCE |
|
$ 30.00 per hour will be deducted from security
deposit for any clean up required by the Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy.
(Applicable for extraordinary clean-up.)

FIREPLACES and GRILLS |
|
There are two fireplaces and charcoal grills at the Pavilion for
your use. Please provide your own firewood and grilling supplies. No
flue in fireplaces. |
PARTY TRAILER |
|
The party trailer is provided complimentary for
your use and enjoyment during your event (list enclosed). Items must
be placed in appropriate bins and returned to the party trailer at the
conclusion of your event. Failure to comply will result in partial or
total forfeiture of your security deposit. |
HORSESHOES |
|
Horseshoes are not permitted on the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve. |
MOONWALKS |
|
Moonwalks may be permitted with the prior consent
of the Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy only. |
PICNIC TABLES |
|
There are 20 picnic tables (measuring 30"wx5'l) located in the
Pavilion (diagram enclosed). These may not be moved. Damage to any picnic
table will result in partial or total forfeiture of security deposit.(Covered
area under the Pavilion is 60'x54'). |
VEHICLE ACCESS |
|
No vehicles are permitted in the Preserve. Parking is available in designated
parking lots only.Per our insurance carrier, the Coffee Creek Watershed
Preserve must have an employee present during the set-up and clean-up
times for your event. An employee of the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve
will arrive at the Pavilion 1 hour prior to your event and 1 hour prior to the conclusion of your event, during clean-up. All clean-up must be
completed by 8:00 p.m. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of
security deposit. |
HANDICAP PARKING |
|
Handicap parking is also available. Should this present a hardship
for your elderly or handicapped guests, we suggest that you borrow wheelchairs
from local churches or other agencies to facilitate their travel from
the handicap parking lot to the Pavilion. |
GLASSWARE |
|
No glassware is allowed in the pavilion. |
SET-UP and CLEAN-UP |
|
Please make sure to fill in the set-up time on your pink sheet. All
clean up must be done immediately following the completion of the event.
Clean up must be completed by 8:00 p.m. Failure to comply will result
in loss of security deposit. |
LIGHTS |
|
The lights are programmed to turn on at dusk. |
ALCOHOL |
|
Alcohol
is not permitted in the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve and its structures.
Any alcohol found present at an event must be immediately removed or the
Town of Chesterton's police department will be called to enforce the Coffee
Creek Watershed Conservancy's No Alcohol policy. |
